Dreamweavings

The truest dream is the one
that changes the dreamer.

Each Dreamweaving is custom woven as a living prayer, carrying the essence of your dream into the ordinary moments where transformation quietly unfolds.

When we become our dreams,

we become medicine for the world.

Among the Huichol of west-central Mexico, the feminine spiritual discipline focuses on learning to weave, which calls for the ability to access the spirit world in order to create new designs. - Barbara Tedlock, The Woman in the Shaman’s Body

Across the world, feminine shamanic paths are guided by woman’s relationship with the cycles of creation—life, death, and rebirth. Through her relationship with her womb and her capacity to conceive, create, and birth new life in many forms, she is initiated into the sacred work of tending the dream that weaves us all together.

Weaving, as a feminine shamanic path, bridges art and spiritual practice. In many traditions, it is held as a ritual of both conceiving and birthing creations. The rhythmic motions of weaving mirrors the feminine movements of love-making, the waves of labor, and the ebb and flow of creation itself.

My weaving practice has become an altar for this ritual—a place to enter into relationship with the unseen, to listen for what longs to emerge, to begin weaving it into being.

I have learned that the energy of each intention we hold can be woven into our creations—our creations can become talismans that empower and amplify our intentions.

Dreamweavings have emerged from this learning as a way to weave the heart’s dreams into living reality.
